Apartment - Chiavari

The intervention concerns a 1970s Chiavari apartment used by the client as a second home. We studied an interior design project soddifdding the criteria of budget, timing, and needs of the client, whose request was for a redesign that preserved as much of the existing furnishings as possible.

SMALL BUDGET BIG RESULTS.

We developed in a short time a project that was shared in all its phases with the client, up to the final solution. We immediately explained the processing steps to the client so that together we could establish a common reference system with which to choose priorities in the various interventions. In this way we were able to optimize resources and focus them on only certain jobs or purchases.

Through the study of the color palette, selection of furnishing fabrics and some furniture ordered for the specific project, along with minor restoration and painting work, we radically transformed the rooms. Following the new furniture arrangement, some work was done on the electrical system. To stay within the budgeted expense, we proposed and later had the interior doors and some furniture painted to better integrate them into the new environment. Choosing a whale blue for the living room walls creates an ideal backdrop to make the classic walnut-colored furniture stand out. In this case it was important to do color sampling to better approximate the result we had thought of and wanted to achieve.

Part of the budget was used to redo the kitchenette, which was found to be the weak point in the main room. So we had to intervene with minor masonry and tiling work and then move on to choosing and purchasing a new kitchen. Throughout the duration of the work, we supervised and managed the construction site and administered related expenses. The customer was able to choose his or her furniture preferences from the recommended proposals. We then took care of all the logistics: from order, to purchase, to delivery.

At the conclusion of the interior design project, we chose the lights best suited to the rooms: soft lights, colored lights and warm lights to experience the house in various situations with the right atmosphere.
